Description 

The Director of Partnerships and Events is responsible for meeting or exceeding business development and overall revenue generation targets through the sale of corporate sponsorship packages. The Director of Partnerships and Events leads our sales efforts to prospect, cultivate and close top brands in the San Francisco Bay Area that want to reach startup company founders and CEOs. The Director of Partnerships and Events will build a sustainable and thriving pool of corporate partners who support training seminars, conferences and events produced by Jupiter KSA and will provide weekly updates on the sales pipeline to the firm’s partners. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Take ownership of overall sponsorship sales process 

  • Research, develop and maintain a pipeline of potential corporate sponsors or exhibitors for workshops, conferences and events 

  • Assist in creating promotional material and sales collateral 

  • Maintain knowledge of workshops and conference timelines and sponsorship deadlines 

  • Utilize telephone solicitation, email, video conferencing and face-to-face meetings to meet or exceed the revenue target for each workshop and conference 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsors and exhibitors 

  • Keep precise records of contacts with clients, sponsors and exhibitors 

  • Use Salesforce to track sales activity 

  • Prepare and send invoices to sponsors and exhibitors 

  • Communicate with Managing Partner to ensure synchronized communication with clients

  • Pitch both electronically and in person and respond to questions from clients, customers and the general public 

  • Calculate discounts, interest, commissions and percentage change and apply basic arithmetic concepts to generate budgets, invoices and contracts 

  • Negotiate rationally to achieve maximum benefit for both customers and Jupiter KSA 

  • Be proficient with PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Salesforce experience is a bonus 

  • Embrace diversity and demonstrate cultural competence to work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds 

  • Utilize diplomatic and tactful language to resolve conflicts  

  • A sense of humor is not a requirement, but will be an asset in this role 

Compensation 

Jupiter KSA has a generous commission structure. This position has unlimited earning potential and the right candidate will earn a substantial commission on sales and will be eligible for bonuses.
